I thought Microsoft would not license wma to mp3 decodes?
Nero prompts you saying Microsoft doesn't authorize conversions from wma format, and Roxio software flat out just doesn't do it. If someone knows of a converter that will do it, please let me know--it could save me tons of time. | |

Yeah, the Musicmatch jukebox is free for a limited version. That includes a Mp3 ripper,( which is all i want it for); and they recommend it @ soundclick.
I note there's a 7 day trial for the full version with all the "bells and Whistles" . I've recently downloaded the limited free version, and haven't converted anything to Mp3 as yet. There's a lot of prompts to upgrade to the full version, which seems like a handful if you've already got Windows Media Player or RealPlayer, as you have to set up defaults for which player plays what file type . I've used "FreeRip" @ http://www.mgshareware.com/ in the past, and just ripped a CD data track to Mp3 few days ago. Since I've downloaded Musicmatch, FreeRip aint working as there's a power struggle going on between the two of them. In the past FreeRip seemed alright. I'm on dialup so I know the pain your going through. Till I test out Musicmatch I dunno which one I'll keep. Goodluck . ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ...
