"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise there of; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
--First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution

Ironic that the theme of this particular project is "Freedom" yet my submission to Grace of an abstract woman floating nude with fish is REFUSED. Not a graphic photograph, no explicit bits, no penetration, no beasteality...yet according to Grace, it is construed APPARENTLY by US law on non profit sites as "obscene". FACT: There is a plethora of non-profit sites and art galleries showing works of art depicting nudity, just punch em in.

Now Grace, this is no reflection of how I feel about your retort to my submission; not at all. As I said...it's your call. But there is something serious wrong here.

I submitted a song entitled "Carpet Lick"

Now, we (Suzie and I) have come to an agreement to change the title to cater to the needs of the visuals, and/or let the "producers" decide what it should be named (based on a first impression of the music).

The "Carpet" is where it was conceived and recorded, the "Lick" is the dominating line in the song. It wasn't meant as offensive, but the name fit perfectly.
-for me-

Check that bolded line above and ask yourself if you're peaceable assembling with others.

Schöne Gruß!

Let me say something.

First, this is not the New Funk Order, and the submission process is entirely different. Secondly, I do not tolerate hostility, nor do I change the direction of a project based on the opinions of others, unlike people in the NFO who try to make friends with everyone (no offense intended Jason, you tolerated more than I ever would with people's poor treatment of you during the formation of the NFO). I have a direction that I envisioned, and I intend to maintain it, I pull no punches about it. I cannot allow nudity in this project.

Regards,
Suzie

I have discussed it with the producers, and the original title is ok.

Hey Hey now...where's the hostility toward you Suzie. None from me. I've already said it's your call and I understand.

And before you take the word 'prude' to heart...I'm not meaning you...I'm referring to congress and the idiots who make up these ridiculous laws.

From: http://www.orgsites.com/o...revolution
A Journey of Artistic Inspiration:
We come from all walks of life. All backgrounds, all different mediums of expression. One thing in common is the love of music, another thing in common is our love of art, whether it is visual art, poetry, stories, or sculpture, we are here to share our works with you. Call this a human jazz experience if you will- not necessarily jazz music, but a human artistic experience that is abstract yet arranged together to show an ever progressing collage of talent.

This project is an inspiration that has been resolved from many artists originally from the Prince.org Musician's Community. Other artists have committed to participate in the experience.

What Is This Project About?
Many times, underground, unsigned artists cannot find sites or communities where they can openly express their artistic creativity. So many times, people are fast to judge and bring forth harsh criticism instead of welcoming all artists and embracing diversity. We wish to make this a place where you can share your talents, regardless of what anyone else thinks, no matter how "qualified" or "unqualified" they say you are!

How Can I Be A Part Of This?
It's easy! Just email one of the project producers and let us know that you would like to share your art! We accept music, poetry, essays, novels, photography, sculptures (of course pictures of your sculptures), movies, documentary films, music videos, paintings, drawings, computer art, and any other art, you name it, we accept it! This is about life, your experiences, and the human creative outlets!

This project has no official ties to anything except that the original contributors to the project are also members of Prince.org, an independent, unofficial, yet highly resourceful Prince music fan site. Some members are affiliated to the New Funk Order, but this project is completely independent of the NFO.

We do not have any official political or religious affiliations. Our goal is a social experience of community where TRUE artform has the ability to be expressed in it's root origin. Everyone from all walks of life are welcome here!

I understand. I just wanted to make you aware that the ONLY reason that I denied your submission was because of the "nude" factor. I have to take into consideration about who will be observing, what they are looking at, where they are when they are observing, how they are comprehending what is in front of them, and why they choose to observe. I think of anyone from age 0 to age 120 who might possibly view or listen to the art. If I think that a group of people might be offended, I have to exercise censorship. People are pulling sites up at work and in front of kids, you know.

I am a fan of nude art. I love Picasso's abstract nudes. I have to make sure that the project is squeaky enough for everyone to view or listen to at anytime, anywhere. The government, however is far too allowing of certain materials, and too strict on others.

Thanks, Grace, but I don't need any backup. I've got God on my side, that is all I need. Plus, you have to understand, some people are very touchy when it comes to art. I learned that when I started the New Funk Order. You have to watch what you say and do, because people will misunderstand you. I know you are an ok lady, but some people might take you the wrong way.

But, to everyone who has submitted songs already, or to people who are going to submit songs in the future:

Suzie (Grace) is a wonderful lady, and her heart is in the right place.

Your friend,
Jason
