Procrastination Help! I'm procrastinating! I planned to write for four hours and ended up cleaning out my email inbox. What do you do to prevent procrastination? I feel horrible.

If I had an answer to that I wouldn't be on the org right now!

That's the story of my life, girl. It's amazing how many things we can find to do to avoid what we really want to do. Where are you with the artist's way? She talks about procrastination on pages 142-143 and 152.
I need to read it too. | |

If I had an answer to that I wouldn't be on the org right now! I guess it's important not to beat ourselves up about it.

I need to read it too. During my procrastination session, I read the entire Chapter 2 (instead of writing) which talks about crazymakers. I'm glad to know she addresses procrastination directly on those pages (oh yeah, there's a nice index, isn't there?) Then I reread Chapter 1. I think the secret of why we get blocked is hidden in what she calls brain drain. That there's so much junk in our brain that keeps us from working. So she suggests hand writing 3 pages every day to drain the brain to get clear and ready to create. However, it's obvious for me that 3 pages is not enough. I finally started feeling clearer after I handwrote 8 pages last night (random babble). So I eventually did write a couple hours last night, which did become more lucid as time went on. Then I wrote three poems. Just wishing I could get to the script though.
