IS THERE A SOFTWARE

is there a software where i can take my mp3's and break them down and remove instruments from them and give them my personal touch mix. I'm not an artist or anything just sounded like something fun to do.

there's not a way really that you can isolate individual instruments and pull them out of the mix. Okay, there is, but it costs lots of money.

But if you want to cut the tracks up into little samples and put together your own remix, go check out www.acidplanet.com, I think they have a free download of the 8-track version.

Or used to at least.

Heavenly

There is no suck software and there won't be for a long long time.
It's like taking a cake and separating the ingredients.
It's simply impossible.

The reason is, most instruments and vocals share too many frequencies. The reason why you can sometimes remove the singer, is because you can eliminate all the instruments that are in the center by inverting one side's phase. But the effects of the vocals remain, since they are in stereo.

In short - no. there's no such program.
