I dont hear no prince.

My opinion :

Starters, the CD cover really puts me off, sorry but looks soo bad

The album doesn't do much 4 me, tho i quite like :
3.ABSTRACTLY INVOLVED
4.THE GREAT EMBRACE

they would prob go straight onto my playlist, but 2 be honest, at least sum "young" musicians are doing sumthing about real music, good on them!!!

"Question. Mix one part psychedelic blues, throw in some hip hop, Funkadelia, futuristic concept , slick 80s Minneapolis synth-funk grooves, real drums, spaced reggae and a dose of strong ambient trance-like vocalization?

A Plasmatic Brain Spasm."

I heard a sorta kinda Mpls synth-funk groove on one track - Dance Floor Virus, but it wasn't my bag. I like that they're mixing genres and experimenting with their influences, but there's too much in the mix for me. If you're promoting the funk, I wanna hear more of it.

I would ALMOST agree with the previous posts, except that this music does sound exactly like a Parliament record - acid rock meets funk. If you're looking for One Nation Under a Groove, this aint it. But it comes pretty close to "Lets Take It To the Stage".

My opinion.

And - hey - you're in Atlanta?

Interesting. You got a vocoder on one of your tracks?. .

One song reminds me too much of George Clinton but I like it!. Reminds me of abit of Prince too.

I'd go with the more funky Vocoder type tracks.

I ain't been a round in a long while but glad I saw this thread. I dig it, kinda sinister.. Are you Minneapolis as in "IN MINNEAPOLIS"? Love to check you out live. It could be real cool to hook up for a gig sometime. I think it could be a very interesting match of styles.

The live band is called Invasion From Planet K. I am just finishing the disk and am eager to get loud... No prob if not interested, I am still gonna check you out, provided I can drive in my local to find you. biggrin

Cool, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes I am in the twin cities West Saint Paul actually. We did a gig on saturday at The Nomad, and one on tue. at the Bo Bo Club in St. Paul. I wish I could have let you know sooner. We have some other dates pending but nothing confirmed yet. I checked out your site, it looks real cool but I don't have spaeakers at work so I haven't listened to it yet. I'm excited to hear.
