Well, there's a lead sheet, usually for guitarists but you can use it for piano as well. Also known as charts; instead of sheet music, it's just chords for each measure. You'll still need to know your way around a piano, but by showing just the chords, it frees you up to play your own interpretation of the song instead of the literal version.
Go look into "Piano In a Flash" by Scott Something-or-other. If you don't know how to read music, it's a great book to get you up and running pretty quickly. But if you want to play the song, note-for-note, then yeah, sheet music is piano tabs. Otherwise, it would be: lt - 56 - 58 - 59 - 59 - 59 li - 50 - 53 - 55 - 55 - 57 lm - 45 - 45 - 45 - 46 - 49 lr - xx - xx - xx - xx - xx lp - 40 - 41 - 41 - 43 - 43 Or some nonsense. Sheet music does the same thing, only better. (HAHAHA IF YOU CAN LEARN TO READ IT!!) www.beaurocks.com Trees are made of WOOD! | |
