Let's Go Crazy solo For the experienced musicians here:
How would you play it? What notes are being hit using what effects? What chords are used in the song? Looking at tab hasn't really broken in down for me, so I came to the experts here on this board. Thanks! Some people tell me I've got great legs...

Prince plays that ending solo so fast its sometimes hard to transcribe.
Well I can hear the use of a cry baby, especially as he changes strings. He then runs a Flager at the end, obviously distortion or hard over drive of your choice. Prince does start at high E string then works his way up. The chords especially the opening riff has slightly changed over the years during his live performances. E.g. listen to the intro at the RRHOF and say Wendys intro during PR or Parade concerts. Its not that it has changed I guess there is a bit of fine tuning or an xtra note hear and there. If you want to pick up some hints as to how he plays the ending watch his grammy performance as you get a good view as to whats going on. Hope this helps?

I believe a tab book for the PR album exists, so hunt that one down.
The key to the outro solo is that it's NOT a pentatonic blues thing, even though you might think it is. It's from the bebop dominant scale (1 2 maj3 4 5 6 min7 maj7) with a bluesy feelk because of a b5 thrown in and slide/hammers from the minor into the major third (in three different octaves). Basically, it's a couple of cool jazz licks played with Hendrix-like blues-rock intensity. One of P's greatest guitar moments, I think, and I doubt if he came up with it as spontaneously as it sounds. So don't be discouraged if you don't get it at once! (and if the theory ain't your bag: find the tab!)

Thanks, time for me hit the woodshed. Some people tell me I've got great legs...

I can't remember what key the song is in, E or Fsharp? Anyway, the root is the tonic of the song iirc.

I used to play it on keyboard and I remember one of the riffs involves F# maj chord so it must either be in Fsharp or B (the bass riff is something like B-C-C#-E)

The tab for the first part of the solo is on the prodigy website, can't remember it offhand, but if you search for Let's Go Crazy solo on a search engine like Mamma.com, it shou;d come up. I've been trying to find the tab of the song for ages as well. I have the sheet music for the piano, so I know the chord structure etc.... but the actual notes of the soloing are what I too am looking for.
