I guess this thread went belly-up because of the religious title. There is a lot of people around here that doesn't like that kind of stuff. It baffles me how Prince could be so religious and in your face about it and still keep his fan base in tact from way back. It makes me wonder if anyone has been paying attention to his lyrics. He has been preaching to us for a long time. Is anybody listening? "God","Holy River","Seven","The Ladder", "Still Would Stand All Time","Temptation","The Cross".....etc.

It was strange to me when I "used" to go to the "other" forums on this site. There are some really satanic people that claim to be Prince fans. I find this to be very ironic and weird. I admit when I first heard of Prince and saw his picture, I honestly didn't know what to think. He did a wonderful job of conceptualizing his image and gave us what we like,"controversy". Then after I got over his androgenous look and got down to the essence of what he was really trying to say, I feel in love with what he was inside. The depth of his thoughts and his crusade to tell people about God without sounding "preachy" is what draws me to him. I don't try to be as sublime at trying to tell people about God. I use the straight-up no chaser approach. I wish he would once and for all just end all doubt and do an all gospel album. Over everything, he is the best artist of modern times. True enough he took flavor from the artist he admired, but who hasn't? His musical range is phenomenal. He is the modern day Mozart. Christian soldiers keep up the good fight.Play in the sunshine. peace

You know,

Someone asked me to catagorize my music a couple of days ago and I called it: "God Music"..

This gift that we are given has a huge responsibility that goes along with it, especially in this day and age..

The success is in touching one person nod

Keep doing what you're doing--It will make a difference!

Amen brother. peace Have u noticed the lack of responses on this thread? Next time title your thread with "new jam" or "new song", more people will at least visit the thread. I always give a disclaimer so people that are not christian won't be offended. I am not trying to cram God down anybody's throat. That even goes for family members. I refuse to "cast pearls to the swine". This may sound harsh but I have enough on my hands trying to walk this walk myself. peace
