OKAY I DO have one to contribute.

Artist Name:
Otan : Beau Hall

Link to Song:

Artist Location:
Atlanta

Artist/Song Description:I did this last year, so some of you might have heard it already. It's my stab at a 'God' type instrumental. I love the guitars, the keys, the everything. Lots of people said "it sounds way too 80's, too much like Prince" so, hey, this is perfect. The only thing missing is the Linn Drum and the backwards voice.
Artist Bio: I blah blah since 19blahblah and played blahblah until I discovered blahblah, at which point blah waahwahwah. Blah. Talent!

yamomma, if this song is too long I could probably make an edit of it for you. At this stage, this is the finished jam. If it's not what you're looking for then I have another shorter jam that is similar, but the above is better IMO.

hey I really dig your song and your voice is great! the only thing that i might change if I were you is the counter-melody synth....sounds kinda canned to me. Dammit, I hate being critical.... I have some casio keyboard on my track, too lol... but really, your song is great.... very much a "Free"/Lenny vibe.

thumbs up!

Wait until you hear the vocal version!
I've added a whole new section too.

For the chorus line ...
To make this EXTRA special, I might be giving some of you U.S. guys a call to get you on this jam. Time permitting of course.

I'm having a lot of fun with this. Thanks Tal!

Oh, y'all just KNEW I had to get a piece of THIS one. Yeah, I'm still lurking in the backdrop. smile

Name: Julian Christian...
Song: "We Are Here"
Location: http://www.soundclick.com...nchristian

I considered starting a group called "Prince's Left Nut" because a buddy of mine said that this song sounds so much like a Prince groove that I must have picked it up when it accidentally fell out of Prince's left nut and fell on the ground.

And I talk about that good friend in another song called "2 Funky 2 B A Star".

But I wrote, arranged, produced and performed all of it.

Enjoy!

Hey Julian, good tune. It is very interesting how all of the Princites have a portion of his flavor and how he influenced us differently. This is going to be a great cd. cool

I've been on sort of a self-imposed sabbatical from music... in other words, I was burned out and had too much other stuff on my plate that needed my immediate attantion. A brotha just had to take some time to get his game back together, ya know?

And I'm happy to say that life has settled down considerably, and things are looking bright as ever. biggrin

Actually...

LMAO! Just kidding, bro. I DID happen to check out that particular joint earlier today, and I must say that - in my humble opinion - you got a wicked Prince thang goin' on with it.

Although, I must add... you're still a goof!

(Just f-n wit ya, 8!) wink

We have been working on a track especially for this project and things are shaping up nicely. We used good old Linn drum sounds for the beat to get that immediate Prince feel. I think we will be finished in time, otherwise we will drop You Look So Good.

Hey V! Thought you moved awhile back and set up your own inhome studio - with some soundproofing? Girl I wanna hear you wail it. Your sultry sexy voice is great, as is your tone, your key and your diction (your diction is superb; actually one of the few artists I can hear every word). It's all very pleasant...but something's missing here. INTONATION, EMOTION, FEELING, DIAPHRAM. I know you won't take this the wrong way...cause U know I like some of your sheit...but I feel you're still holding back. Wail may not be the right word on this particular song...but even Prince displays different emotions throughout. I can't help but feel you are almost reading off a page and not feelin' it.
