The prince.org community is compiling a new album of original music that consists of a very familiar sound of that guy this site pays tribute too.

Have a song that just screams "prince influenced" all over it that you just can't seem to place it on your own album? Or how many of you have been tweaking your gear up for that certain favorite 1980-something sound that you just want to get out of your system and on to tape?

Well... This is the project for you!
This online project will serve as a good home to these recordings as well as be exclusive to prince.org members. Org user: talmuzic brought this forward several weeks ago and there was a pretty good response. So here it is!

One rule. The songs submitted must be original. No cover tunes please.

Ok, my best friend and I did this as teenagers in college around 1987, using just a synth and drum machine.

Clearly we are not "singing" per se... but the music is inspired by Sheila and P, and the story is actually based on a real life sexual obsession of someone who shall remain nameless .

It's never been aired publicly before, so be kind (remember we were just kids fooling around ).
