Your voice = me likey. Some tracks = I'd like to remix. :]

So I decided to send him a message and asked which track he'd like to use. He chose Flutter. I sent him the vocals alone and he's working on it! I got this message from him today:

Already started in the track. They sound great....you did a good job recording them. I'll get back with you when Im done. Its gonna be a pretty crazy choppy house track so be prepared to hear your vocals QUITE differently


You'll get a master and Im pretty sure some houston Dj's will be spinning the track as well.

I haven't heard from him since that last message. I sent him a message yesterday asking how it was coming along... I know these things take time, so it's cool. I can't wait to hear it though.

Shit...Im sorry Vina....Your track made the backburner unfortunately. I got a lead for some radio add spots, so all my creative energy has been going in that direction. I still have your CD and hopefully I will get an oppurtunity to use your vocals in the future.
I should have contacted you sooner...my bad.

He said he wasn't a producer out to make a profit on anything... yet he's working on "radio ad spots"...

It doesn't mean he's got the job doing radio ad spots, maybe he's just trying to put together a reel for them. Probably has a lot on his plate, so I wouldn't take it personally. He might come around, not immediately though. Good intentions, needs a job...sounds like to me. It's a compliment he wants to work with your stuff in his free time.

Yeah, I know... I guess mostly I'm paranoid that he want's to use it for something without my permission. Like he was so agressive and when he finally got it he disapeared for a few weeks... Makes me wonder... because he also told me that DJs would be spinning the track.

While the internet's a great tool to connecting to new people, I guess that's the drawback. It's a little risky.
