His musical influences range from: George Clinton, Joni Mitchell, Sheila E. Me’Shell N’dege O’Chello. But the person whom influenced him the most Gil Scott Heron.
Gil Scott Heron is obviously a very gifted, and talented songwriter/vocalist/musician who had many hit records such as: “ The Revolution Will Not Be Televised”, “Black History/TheWorld”, and “In The Bottle”.

Up to date in Terry's life....he had the honors of being in the presence of such great musical geniuses such as: Prince, Sheile E., Maceo and Carl Parker, Roy Ayers, Lenny Kravitz, Bjork, and Arrested Development, Terrie Lynn Carrington, D'angelo
Slick Rick and Dougie Fresh, Salt-Pepa, Kurtis Blow- Whodini, Cindy Blackman, Les Nubians, Angie Stone, Nika Costa, Damian Jr, Gong Marley, Erykah Badu, Tweet, Craig David, Mary J. Blige,
T-S. Monk- The Entire Parliment Funkadelic Mob, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, N.E.R.D., Macy Grey, Fishbone and Eagle Eye Cherry.

These musical geniuses have been such a great inspiration, and big influence in Terry’s life, his list is remarkable, and will continue to grow...AND

Sheila ripped THE BERKLEE PERFORMANCE CENTER apart!
She spoke alot about being a non trained musician, & how playing
from the heart developed her whole style.
She also felt bad about not being able to talk about rudements,
theory and other musical technics...she knows of none.
Playing with records, watching other musicans, & being open to
music developed who she is.

Berklee faculty backed her up on stage..percussion, bass, synth-&-
piano.... A really nice mix of latin-jazz, gospel, soul & funk
with the illest Drum Solo!!

I was sitting right in front of her conga set.. so when ever she
looked up, our eyes caught & she would smile.
heaven!

Then came a really nice smooth groove...she was doing some spoken
word which blew my mind .... then she looked at me and asked
who raps.?
brother "do u rap"? pointing to me.
I said yeah, took off my coat & cleared my throat!!
she welcomed me on stage and said " just flow nice & smooth "

Why did I grab the mic & holla "GIVE IT UP 2 SHEILA E!!"

She smirked & took the mic away said" nah brother don't do that"..

I said "sheila I can't help it"
...."let me help you, I'm gonna hold your hand"
she held my hand...firm... I was being blessed to get some of
her energy ....
Yeah people I got my free style on - givin her the smooth loveable
poet brother she asked for : )
then free styled how Sheila influenced me, spitin a lil chant,
getting the audience hype..it was off the hook!

I'm still hie!

afterwards I gave her some gifts...cha know...

I asked her about the lovesexy tour,
just..... how for a drummer how
intense that show must have been..
