Hey. I know I've been awol lately, no reviews of songs, blah blah, I've been wigging over this upcoming show.

I'm going on the local blues show tomorrow, (yeah, I know, blues, whatever) and I'm going to play a song. I'll just bring a jambox with me with the backing tracks and play along, but you know, they go for anything on there. I hope.

And speaking of, I've really painted myself into a corner here. At the gig on Wednesday, I'll be playing keys, guitar and harmonica, and singing. Sometimes, I'll be playing two different instruments during a song... like "She's Too Rich For Me" that has harmonica solos and two guitars? right. what was I thinking.

But anyhow, if you're in the Atlanta area, or around it, check out 89.3 WRFG around 7am. (oh, yeah, that's gonna sound GOOOD!). I think they stream online at www.wrfg.org too, I'm not positive. Send good vibes my way, I'm totally nervous about this stuff suddenly.

I feel all about myself all the time. Oh - "great". Yeah, well, I mean sure I'm totally full of myself, but you know how it is - 2 days before the big gig, you're thinking, "oh god, what if I throw a party and nobody comes?"

This is different than the usual restaraunt gigs where folks are there by default, regardless of my glowing appearance. This time, it seems like I am the only person promoting this gig, so the other three members of the band will MAYBE bring a chick each, MAYBE. So it's ALL on me. This didn't dawn on me until Sunday morning. Right. If it dawned on me Friday night, I would have been flyering, handing out CDs, talking it up on street corners, whatever I could think of.

I may still do that tonight. It's Valentines Day, maybe I'll stand on the corner and sing "Can I Get Some Lovin" for the ladies. That'll work.

So I think I caught a cold today at work. I'm drinking lots of (non-alcoholic) fluids and trying to beat this thing. I'm about to get some sleep, but I was just doing my e-rounds and wanted to post up here. DAMN it would totally suck to be ill starting tomorrow morning on through to the gig on Wednesday.

If you have drainage try some Mucinex but at the same time drink LOTS(LOTS!LOTS!LOTS!)of water(non-carbonated). I take that when I'm sick,and I also take Benadryl Cold and Sinus, that stuff works miracles...

Part one of the interview. I didn't record it off the radio, I just put up my minidisc recorder and recorded the conversation... so, the song -- you only hear my sexy 7am voice and harmonica, no backing tracks. Don't whine.

This is great, 7AM voice and all, don't tell me this is the first time you've heard your "twang" because I know it's the first time I've heard it.

The internet really makes me forget that people are all over the planet until I actually hear them.

That was great! You do have a twang, but that's ok 'cause I do to! I liked the song with the harmonica alone, it was more personal, and really showed off your pipes...good job!

But it's alright, your in Atlanta, blends right in. I'm from TN and living in south florida where most residents are from New York. Hard to hide it.

part 2 was just blabablab about tomorrow's show and about my blues website that I got going on. Not near as interesting at this part.

I'm just shocked that I have a twang at all - I used to not have one. My parents are english majors and wore me down, but then, hey, marrying a country girl when i was 20 brought it ALL back!! yee haw indeed.

I'm telling you - they mixed the backing tracks into the board... I just put the mic on the table, it's not recording the actual broadcast... I was singing along to a music track... there's no way I would get up and just play and sing. I mean, yeah, it sounds like that here, but I had the security blanket of my music behind me.
