yamomma yabangin'
Cool moving bassline. Space piano/Spankin' rhythm guitar in the middle section. Avant garde like piano toward the end. What's the sound at 3:52? Scarey. Outside of a bit of overall distortion (might be on my side), very nice. Garageband? They had a really sharp demo at A.E.S. It'll be interesting to see what they've got up for N.A.M.M. in January. I'm surprised that with all your trials and tribulations lately you had time to get this together. Maybe it's just a testament to the therapeutic power of music. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm http://www.prince.org/msg/8/125777 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Moderator | Therapy, yes. Gotta spark some endorphines somehow.
The spooky sound is a 60's Rhoads piano with a backing dual bass line. The sounds came from Apple's "Soundtrack" Frank might be getting "Guitar Rig" If you haven't checked it out, it basically has 100's of guitar amp presets that range from all different models and then breaks them down by year. So you could play through a 68 Marshall if you wanted to. I watched a video off the apple site with (can't remember his name, but a noteable guitar player) giving the demo and it was awesome. When you see stuff like that, you can see that a lot of outboard gear will be going bye bye in the near future. I hear the distortion as well now. The bass needs to be brought down a whole lot. I heard the Guitar Rig demo also. Very nice. All outboard gear has already started to be replaced by plugins. You just need a powerful computer. Moderator | The whole thing took about 2 hours. 1.5 of which was just the piano part. I can hear a lot of what I change. Less clutter on the horns, longer guitar part, put some changes in the bass line and drums, etc...

First, it's really cool.
Then, how are you doing this and what are you playing? The beat is cool and sometimes it sounds live and other times it doesn't. Is this all done in garageband and everything is a loop? Or is everything midi samples and you're playing keys for each part?

Brilliant ! Loved how you panned the car sound at the beginning .Then I got a Chicago feel, with the horns, and you just kept the jam rolling . Nice purging . ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... I drop in from time to time, ...

Actually, I can't. I just move the little notes up and down the screen with my mouse until they sound cool. I play as if everything were a percussion instrument with my two index fingers. All Rights Reserved. |

This is great. Way super distorted - bring the volume down a lot and it'll clean up nicely when you're tickling the ivory mouse button.
Man those macs are GREAT! I told everybody that they're more than just a doorstop, but nobody listens to me. The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

Sorry I'm late. I love this! The original version is cool, but I do like the newer version better- more polished. I love the piano solo, very jazzy. I bet Frank liked that.
I love the crazy Bootsy-esque sound toward the end. You have some really cool clavi-funk, man. Where is the link to that song that you let me hear on the phone a couple months back? Peace, JD
