Secondly , Beautiful song ! The dialogue reminds me of B.B.King ,if you know what I mean , you've got the audience in the palm of your hand . Sounded like a heap of fun was had by yoh ...
I enjoyed the ride , very clever how the anticipation was played out, like it just grinded along in a Tempo that held me , personality oozing. Great stuff Beau.

Great stuff, you keep showing different sides of your musical personality. Now it is a great ballad, with the one man band thing (including choirs and all) in full effect. You get better all the time, this is kickass stuff man!

PS: this could have been a track on Beck's Midnight Vultures. I mean this as a compliment, in case you wonder...

Oh yeah, do make a new version, I know you can do a better take on them drums man. My only miniscule complaint.

did a basic 4/4 drum loop w/ no quarter notes cuz I didn't know if it was going to have a swing feel or not... so it just went bass... snare... bass... snare...

Guitar and vocals first, at the same time cuz I had ideas in my head but hadn't written them out, (the free-form ramble in the middle).

And then I went back and did the guitar again cleaner, then the bass, so i'd have that whole "Do Me Baby" vibe going before I added any keys to it. And then, the organ, and THEN I did the drums. And then did the backing vox.

And then yestiddy, I did the lead vox and a new guitar to it. I'll post that later today. I'm working on another new one - this one's in totally a different order. I knew the chorus and nothing else, so I did the drums FIRST, with no song structure planned at all, and so now I'm putting the song together around the drums. I love this shit.

Updated the link with the newer version... new (and improved) guitar, and new drums. It's been a productive week.

Dude, this is GREAT. You have definitely carried on the Morris tradition from "Chili Sauce" on this. Awesome bass, drums, vocals, guitar, the whole package.
