This is the first Demo, Pre-Automation,Mastering

i just gave the song, a pretty shabby mixdown, to the point of where i wanted it for the time being

its not totally finished, because i needed to hear the song, so i can work on the lyrics more,

But please critique it,

tell me what ya think...

thats funny, that when i saw the post i thought maybe it was an old old post of mine coming back cause i had a song called "Emotions" that i had on soundclick a long time ago, it was an instrumental. I actually wrote a song called Emotions" which had vovcals and i played it during graduation and had a friend sing it. it took the place of the instrumental because i felt general students would appreciate the vocal one instead of the instrumental.

but hey, it sounds like a great start.

I like the second part best. There is indeed a distorted kickdrum, and some of the timing seems to be a little off, but maybe that's just me. But it is a nice dreamy song, certainly not bad for a first track.

Yah its getting too me, that kick,

i'm thinking im gonna have to re-record the drumline- in a lower volume, and perhaps a different drum set

its on a rock, set, but i think im gonna have to change it to perhaps an Analogue set, to lower the latency

I called it emotions, because i couldn't find a better name to give it, so i just slapped Emotions on it lol

i think its pretty good for the firsdt draft, this is right after Midi sequencing mind you...




Which part is a little off,
You're Probably talking about when the synth line comes in,

cause thats the part thats been bothering me and i think im gonna re-record that part...

Just Finished Demo Number 2

basically what was done, here was Automation,Changed the drumline kit
took the the synth line out
and made some cosmetic adjustments using fade ins and fade outs

I'll start adding Effects in the next release

And i just Posted Demo 3

This will be the last demo for the time being,
The next one will be with vocals, hopefully (if i can write the lyrics)

In this release, added new intro and outro
added some mastering effects to take out that anoyying white nice,
and lowered the backing synth line

the Evolution of the song is posted on the soundclick site, so you can hear the differences from each demo

please critque thanks a bunch guys

oh and by the way, i just got new speakers, so i won't know if theirs any distortion because of the volume of the song
so tell me if there is ok, i can fix it during the mastering process
