pulling blood from a stone... sheesh.

So, back in, what, May, June? I said I was putting my toys away for awhile, to reprime the pump or whatever it is that brings me my inspiration for such timeless classics as "Show Her my Oh Face" and "Superhot Lady Cop". And then, I bought the new guitar, and the new guitar doodad, and then I bought the new 16-track recorder, and well, while that's awesome, so far, I've pulled wet noodles outta my arse, creatively-speaking.

I wish that I could bring something amazing to the dancefloor right now - there's beats popping into my head, there's lyrical catchphrases, guitar hooks, all sorts of songlets flowing in and out of my head, but when I go into the studio, I'm floating bisquits, if you know what I mean.

So my new year's resolution is to get in there and record SOMETHING every night for at least an hour. Use it or lose it, apparently.

Happy new year you freakazoids.

By the way, I got some great footage of me in the car with the two kids, driving home yesterday.

Thanks holmes. You are always the man, dude.

And, God bless you and your family today, tomorrow, and forever, my friend.

Good things are going to come for all of us in 2005.

Peace,
JD
