"Dre's 2 Cents" - The Filmshort I just realised that ever since the forum became "artists community", there's a lot more scope for work outside the music field!
Thus, I've started this thread to show a filmshort that I did about a year ago. Some of y'all may have seen it or not, but basically it's a 7-minute vid which is a journey into what I do when I'm not recording. It's an insight into my area by which I not only work but play too hence the subtitle: "A Night In The Life Of New Cross" along with Rafael Perez (Leafar here on the ORG). I also wrote the backing music, got a few unlisted (for personal reasons) camera crew and it's also co-directed by Leafar. Hmmm...its ok. Its nicely done i guess, but isnt it just you and a few guys out and about? Id hardly call it a film or "filmshort" or whatever. More like a bit of fun, since it doesnt have a plot as such, or any kind of message. | |

Well, I guess you're right there but I guess U'd have to know that I spend a lot of time in the studio and don't really go out much in a social scene unless I'm contributing to it
What I'm trying 2 get across is what I do and where I go when I DO get out and the people in my social life as opposed to my musical life So I guess this was my 'plot' as such. I Wasn't sure if it was a 'music video', as I thought it was too long to be one but it had very minimal dialogue so the 'filmshort' tag seemed apt... suggestions welcome indeed! I've done a 'concert-film' too which is in effect the album launch party for my band "Mukka" last year, just finished a documentary on the tour I did of France with my other band "Professor Nohair & The Wiglifters" too. I'm jusglad that I can finally showcase my other works aside from the music here too!

which version of RealPlayer are U using? RealPlayer10 is recommended on Cable/DSL or equivalent. Ppl Don't B freaked by RealPlayer - It was my first choice for video streamin'!!! 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!
