Effects Pedals

Just curious to know from all the guitarist here whats your favourite brand of pedals you like using, either single or multi effect?

Mine, I love using single Boss pedals, but with multi effect I use the zoom 707II & the V-Amp beringer.

What about you?

My favorite subject! smile
I use Boss single pedals: dd-6 delay, graphic equalizer, Chorus ensemble and overdrive/distortion. I own a couple more that I don't use that often, like the OC-2 octave pedal. I also use a Dunlop Crybaby wah and keep it all in a Boss BCB pedal board. In the past, I've used Ibanez, MXR, DOD, Dallas Arbiter and Jim Dunlop stompboxes and Zoom and DOD multi-effects. The Ibanez (couple of wah's, delay, tube screamer) and DOD (phaser, multi-effect), Dalas arbiter fuzz face and MXR compressor ALL broke down on me in one way or the other: they got noisy, switches became unreliable or they simply stopped working properly (and I'm very careful with my equipment). I also wore out a Dunlop Hendrix wah. Anyway, non-second hand Boss gear never let me down in my 18+ years of playing and that's one important reason I use it. Another reason is that I like the straightforward, powerful tones and the possiblility to tweak the sounds with four or more controls (my DOD phaser had one knob). Seeing Prince use them in Puirple Rain at an impressionable age may have something to do with it too.

Oh, for recording on my PC, I use a Behringer V-amp v1.

Good to see another gutarist who prefers Boss pedals, they really are the industry standard. I haven't come across other brands as good!

I use the Maxon Tube Screamer and a Crybaby Wah, and an Arion stage tuner 9the BEST investment I ever made). And that's it,

Well.

Unless I'm going through the PODxt and then I'm all up on a million doodads, but i try to avoid that and just keep it simple.

Heavenly

Anyone uses Danelectro pedals? or Marshall?

I have the Marshall compressor, and the DanoWah from Danelectro. But I'm not a professional guitarist, so it's only for fun. I'm really impressed the the Marshall though. very nice sustain and compression.

Next on my shopping list is the new POD xt Live biggrin
I had the POD xt Pro in the studio I worked in. very nice, but without the pedal board there was no way of using the wah, which I'm a great fan of.

I went from pedals 2 multi effects and as soon as finances allowed: back 2 pedals again.

BOSS R great but I'm slowly working 2 diversify my sonic palet a tad.

From Left 2 right:

BOSS DD5 Digital Delay, RV3 Reverb/Delay,PH2 Phaser (soon 2 b replaced by an MXR Phase 90 - fingers crossed),BOSS TR3 Tremelo,
RAT Pro Co Distortion, BOSS Turbo Distortion (Saving 4 a Blues Driver for clean/drive boost etc),
Jim Dunlop 535Q Cry Baby Wah (Still ??? might get a VOX, the 535Q doesn't like working with my RAT), BOSS OC3 Octave pedal and a Fender P10 Tuner (looking 2 an alternative though, with all the lighting and smoke machines on stage I can't see the tiny little LEDs... ha ha).

All Bridging the gap between my "Mirrored" American Tele and an old
130 watt MusicMan HD212 Amp.

Make sure to a/b test the BD with the Turbo Distortion. For about a year, I had both and for volume boost w/ a little drive, I definitely preferred the Turbo (mode I, set to close to zero distortion).
I like the tubelike crunch in the Overdrive/Distortion pedal even better though.

Thanx Hectim. We've got some shows 1st week of Jan 2005. I'll give it a go.
