Guitar Improv

I used my 82 Fender Strat loaded with 1968 Fender pickups, Mesa Boogie TriAxis with a Mesa Boogie Stereo Simul-Class 2 ninety into stereo ADA 2x12 cabs loaded with 25 watt celesion greenbacks 12's.
The Reverb is a Lexicon PCM 80. The delay is a Rocktron Intellifex set to Flange Delay. See what you think...

I love your playing but that programmed bass and drum are just lifeless and take away from your mad skills

I was with Frank last night when he did this. The guitar is all one take. I think it took more time to burn the DAT to CD, convert to mp3 and upload to the net than the actual recording time. I think he was just jotting down some ideas and not concentrating on a finished song rather practice on some solo work.

When he prints the music out and hands it to his band, look out! Those live recordings kick!

I'm really excited to see him working on ideas like this almost daily now. With that kinda momentum, I'm anticipating some killer finished tunes in the near future. When's the next album coming Frank?

Co-signing with yamomma. You gotta get the ideas down however you can.
I can seen where live musicians will make this piece kick.

Nice guitar sounds.
Makes me want to pull out the Boogie Quad Pre and Simul 295 rig.

I understand it's just getting an idea out, I was just "wishing out loud" for Frank Live or Frank Unplugged or Frank at the Filmore

PBS

I think it sounds great, I would eliminate or tone done the amount of computer assisted sounds.

Good work though!!!

Cool improv. P shouldn't have too far to look if he ever needs more guitar players. There are some pretty good ones here on the org.

I just used a Roland Sound Canvas plus Logic on a Mac to a Sony DAT machine...the whole thing took 15 minutes maybe...I'm glad u can see it was just a very rough jam...it was influenced by the Zawinul Syndicate
