I'll tell you how this works. I've read enough about these guys in the process of the downtime. These guys create little programs that ping servers looking for vulnerable ports. It could be months later and the same program is knocking on all the back doors. As soon as one is cracked open, it e-mails it's owner letting him know that there is a leak. That's when they get to hackin away to get inside. Once inside the server, they dispatch a virus into the system. These guys have a virus that replaces any page named "index" with the big ugly black screen you guys saw. Seems harmless. Most of us could fix that in a day or less depending on how many sites you have. They didn't care who was on the server, but the server itself and the fact that a 1000 something people would see their mark on Monday morning. It's a total sad boyish ego thing. It's the modern day spray painting grafiti. Losing the server side data sources was another story. I swear, this whole week has been just one LONG monday. I swear this and all the things I haven't shared has been so sureal like a movie. Little bugger's ! I take it that you've reported all this to your Internet service provider .Hosting service, whatever links you to the WEB . AS it's a dormant and latent Bug it's difficult if not immposible to scan. The guy you were after was having a baby ! Dang ; there must be some way of getting a scan on your ports to give you a warning that you've been hit. You've probably done all this but just trying to help ? Some enquiries to Virus Detection companies may be the go. Such a complex problem when i'm not actually in the know of what must be a hell of a lot of rebuilding & system analysis for you. I just found a PING file after scanning. I use a scanner built by Alwil software.JUst the Free home edition, but it is great, actually better than Norton. They seem to be really on top of things, and cheap, without being tacky . Maybe give them a call ! I've found them more than helpful.. http://www.avast.com/index.html ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... I drop in from time to time, ...

22 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. 24 As the church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in everything to their husbands. 25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. 28 Even so husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no man ever hates his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ does the church, 30 because we are members of his body. 31 "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." 32 This mystery is a profound one, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church; 33 however, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. It stinks that today's society twists that into a chauvinistic plan to enslave a woman when rather the passage quite edifies her. Thanks Guys. Nothing I can't handle. Just not in the mood to deal with anything right now. However that's not a good attitude for a marriage. So, uh... Pray for some pep in my step? All Rights Reserved. |

Moderator | You see, here's where you know your doing the right thing.
When everything seems to be coming against you and the solution that is speaking louder than any other is to give up. Pack it up, throw in the towel. That's when you see there is a flip side to things good and holy. That's his mission. Well I've worked too hard to blow it now. Now you know there is a God, when you have strength, patience, endurance and sheer will to do all that needs to be done to get past that. (provided you ask for it. Well, that and a whole lot of Mountain Dew.) Things happen in such a strange way that there is just no coincedence that your part of a bigger picture. Things just don't happen the way they have naturally. Now what I probably need to do is sit down and explain that the things I want for my family in this life require a lot of dedication and hard work. There are a lot of things I want and need to set in place before my kids get old enough where that I want to be damn sure I'm there come ball games, girl scouts, PTA meetings, whatever the frick. Things I'm going to have to do right the first time. I could probably write a screenplay of all that has traspired over the last few weeks, with the e-mails, phone calls, PM's and strange encounters. The Server problem is really just the "thorn in the side." Anywho, You know your doin the right thing when despite all the confusion and hostility, you have peace. Either that or I'm suffering from delusions brought on by sleep deprivation. All Rights Reserved. |

Yeh I know you were joking, so was I. You were in the right place at the right time , to have a go at. By the way us guy's have a monthly hormonal trip out as well, or that's my excuse anyway ! yamomma , as this spiritual testing has been illumined as the cause of your grief, pain, hardship; and we are all in the same boat, alive and kicking, trying to make it upstream (bit over the top, but bear with me )... Wanna throw some of my own spiritual quotes into the mix : This is a qoute from the "Book of Changes". The I Ching . Randomly selected.. chien / Obstruction - - --- - - --- - - - - The sequence : Through opposition difficulties necessarily arise. Hence there follows the hexagram of OBSTRUCTION. The obstruction is overcome not by pressing forward into danger nor by idly keeping still, but by retreating, yielding. In the face of Danger without, one keeps still within. The obstruction is not a lasting condition hence everything must be centered to overcome it . It is overcome by initiating a countermovement while being still within. One has need of fellowship as the mountain is steep and lonely. It furthers one to see the Great Man. Perserverance brings good fortune. The effect of Time to Obstruction is great indeed. ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... I drop in from time to time, ...
