I respect that you are trying to make this tune your own.

The vocals and the mix needs a little work but the real issue I'm hearing is that it needs a change. In this format is just the same thing over and over, the groove is good it just needs to go somewhere else.

I hate to sound like Simon from Idol, but that just wasn't all that good.

Oooh I need 2 hear this despite if it is bad or not..I never heard some1 remaking Musicology so this should be an interesting listen

Hate to say but I didn't enjoy it, seems to missing something I guess though its always hard to cover someone else's music especially Prince.

I hate to join the group. But umm...you're out of tune in your singing, and out of rhythm.
But the idea is nice. sounds more like a remix idea. just needs the original instruments.

Hey man, it wasnt that good. First, it's not easy doing a Prince cut, I know that 4 sure. There wasnt no soul in it. The music probably wouldve fit doing another song, sounded funky and underground. Again though the vocals were off and it was no real effort in it. Hope you take our critiques with heart and let it motivate you to keep getting better. I remember when you were just doing quiet acapellas.

Thanks everyone 4 listenin' 2 the song. I've removed it from my Soundclick page now as I was only goin' 2 put it on there for a few days. Some interesting comments from u all, which although are kinda negative are negative in a positive way with the general theme being find your 'own' sound which is what I'm tryin' to do. As for covering a Prince track, its very difficult and although in my opinion the cover of 'Musicology' is OK it could have been better. Thanks again 4 ur comments and listenin' 2 the track, it reached number 10 on the 'Funk' Charts on Soundclick so thats cool.

If you wanna hear a good Prince cover, listen to mrsserendepity (Sammy, Mistri and all the other names she got) covering Girls and Boys. Now there's a cool cover
