New JD HipHop. True to my roots: Listen! A while back, you guys asked me to go a week without listening to Prince, or for that matter, anything, and then record a song at the end of that week. This is the song I recorded at the end of that week. It is a hip-hop ghetto ballad called "Biography of a Meek Man". This song is about growing up on the South and West sides of Columbus, Ohio, back in the late 80's and early 90's- a time when living in the inner city of Columbus was ROUGH. This was the kind of music I made alot of up until about 6 years ago. Go here and listen:

Ha. I know the subject line said "hip hop" but for a minute on that intro I was hearing a reggae beat. Kudo's JD for going the stretch to sumphin else other than Prince.
And why isn't anyone here into reggae? Gotta jones for reggae; so hard to find new reggae that's any good.

Jason u r a true artist. U are a great lyricist and conceptualist. U r a deep brother and it is a pleasure 2 check u out online. I only wish some of us orgers were in the same city so we could get our jam on.Keep on keeping on. A week away from music won't change u as a writer, it will only make u stronger. It is similar 2 going on a fast ( so 2 speak ). [Edited 11/16/04 20:13pm]
