Attention all aspiring writers, LA-Miami based production company Beverly Boy Productions is holding a competition called PROJECT SCREENPLAY and are looking for good quality screenplays. The deadline is January 1, 2005. The genre can be drama, action, or comedy (or a combination). The winning script will be produced in 2005 as an independent film and slated for national distribution.

Now I'm NOT trying to throw any bad vibes out here, but I always wondered why a successful productions company would throw out a screen play call when generally, production companies get bombarded with about as many screenplays from writers as wrecka companies get CD's from musicians.

I can't even find a web site for Beverly Boy Productions.

I visited the website. Looks nice. Doesn't show me much; could only get one sample (Nutz) to work. I only recognized one show in the client list, but that means nothing, I don't get US programming. Hope BBP got approval to throw up all those heavy corporate logos.

OK, I'll go away now.

Good luck though. Really.
