wav file limits/recording with friend on the net Hey guys, a lot of you exchange files over the net. Question: Comcast & AOL file size limit is 10MB. What source options are there to get a high file size limit and send wav files of completed or near completed songs. (not mixed songs, but rather large files in multi-track format: ie- sonar, cubase, tracktion, etc).
Thanks!! | |

Thanks!! Do you mean limit via email? or storage space? it sounds like you'll need some sort of file-storage site... either through a web-host or some sort of file-shack thing. OR, you could look into BITTORRENT - which turns your computer into a server. I don't know alot about it tho. The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

The way I have traded wave files with people is by using an ftp program. You basically have to buy webspace first, then use the program to upload and download files.

yes.....I do mean via email. I will look into a file exchange type of thing. Someone else mentioned gmail, but you need an "invite" for that. Looks pretty cool though as it can handle 1 gig. Thanks for the reply. Any other ideas would be of great help. thanks again!

VinaBlue,
thanks for the idea. Webspace is quite inexpensive these days. That is certainly a possibility. thanks again!

It will hold 1gig, but only sends/receives 10megs... good for sending mp3s, not good for sending 100megs. The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

Mr Otan, I did a search and you are correct about gmail & the 10MB file limit. Someone steered me towards www.rarlabs.com as an option, but that seems a like it might be more confusing than a few other options. thanks again.
