Nothing's Alright (If It Ain't In Line)
Aranged & Compsed By paisleypark4 Performed by JDodson
Drum Programming and all other instruments by JDodson
JDodson & Paisleypark4 4 New Funk Revolution Inc. 2003

I. Tolbert, C*2003, Ultimate Sounds, Inc.

(Chorus, repeat twice)

Everything will be alright, if the doings in time
'Cause nothing will be alright, if you ain't got it in line

(End chorus)

Life is just like a race car, going on so fast
When you know you need some sleep, and you can't make it last
If tomorrow speaks for itself, get what you want today,
'cause you'll never know when it's gone and people will be in your way
Once the premonition comes to mind, you better put it in it's place,
and the stronger you hold onto it, people won't be in your face
And remember in this punishment that you've got to eat
all the freshest fruits that life offers, and everything in between

(Chorus, repeat twice)

Everything will be alright, if the doings in time
'Cause nothing will be alright, if you ain't got it in line

(End chorus)

What do you have to show, when it comes to showin'?
When you know you've got what they want; don't you let it go to waste.
I can keep on preaching, I can keep on telling, but I need to take a bit of my own medicine.
I can keep on preaching, I can keep on saying, but nothing won't hold me back, no.
I can keep on preaching, I can keep on scolding, but nothing won't hold you back.

(Repeat chorus twice to coda)

(coda)

(Repeat chorus in coda)

You better get it in line.

I remember listening to this track ages ago (it seems), when i'd first started listening to people's music here, and being blown away by it. A fantatic song Paisleypark4. Was great to be reminded of it BinaryJustin. It's a great title; 'Nothing's Alright (If It Ain't In Line)'; and fantastic lyric's. sun

This was the one of the first Org collaborations that was ever made. I heard PP4's original lyrics and arrangement, and I remade the final version and sang the lyrics. Me and Isaiah work well together- kinda like a new Jam/Lewis combo.

Glad y'all liked it.

Peace,
JD
