In just a few days, the annual National Novel Writing Month challenge begins.

Do you think you can write 50,000 words in 30 days?

I gave this a shot two years ago, and got to 36,000 words. It's not as easy as it sounds, but it's awfully fun - think of it as a marathon for writers!

i'm fairly certain i'm gonna give it another go this year. who else is in?

well, i start giving it a go today. the plan is to hit the gym when i get up of a morning, then come home, make a pot of joe, and spend an hour or two a day cranking out the verbiage...hopefully by the end of the month, i'll at least have bested 36,000.
