World events always inspire me. Especially with an important election coming up.
I often find inspiration for writing a song by watching the news.

Matter of fact...with the help pf Otan.. www.funk45.com Either that or just give it a rest a bit like me. Something will come up. Your album is just been done. Give it a chance to settle in, let it get some reviews. Let it marinate in2 yourself. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Most of my projects inspire from nature, culture, animals, etc (I know it sounds corny ). Also, are there any specific artists (musical, literary, or visual) that you could recommend that would be great.

I listen 2 my heart...my inner self. Things I go through and people that I love always inspire me. Most of all, the one thing in life that has NEVER let me down and has continued to inspire me the most is my heavenly Father.

I think thats the best advice I could get. Taking a break is good... But don't wait too long otherwise the creative fairies will get bored with you. I like to listen to fresh new (or old) music, something I've never heard before. On occasion I'll find a really unique band and that alone is enough to inspire the creative flow. Another approach is to just keep pounding out ideas, tossing them out, etc until you hit on something. PS why don't you post a few song on soundclick to promote the cd. That 30 seconds of Amazon just aint enough.
