It's not the type of music i'm normally attracted to.

But it's different, well arranged and well played.
That's something I can appreciate.

thumbs up!

Oh come on Audience! Punk is so much fun! Especially when one has been chained to classical orchestras (and all that they entail) her whole life! dead

I hear ya.
Consider a few other alternatives violinists have taken...

Regina Carter

Noel Pointer

Jean Luc-Ponty

Sugarcane Harris

Jerry Goodman

...even Ornette Coleman

Funny that you mentioned that.
I've always wondered what would happen at an outdoor concert if the clips on the music stands were not sturdy enough to withstand a particularly strong gust of wind.

Would you just stop playing?
Could you continue from memory?

(couldn't find a decent outdoor shot)

One of those nightmarish gig scenarios.

Luckily you share the stand with a partner, so one of you fakes it while the other runs across the lawn chasing after the music. It also helps that there are 20 other people playing the same thing so it's mostly a visual oddity, rather than a sonic flub. biggrin

Basically, whoever can manage to keep playing does and the conductor continues to wave his/her arms at all costs. biggrin
