odds and ends for my friends--Jshua mp3's

Hey Everyone!

I'm thinking about hanging it up, but I wanted to say thanx to you all with a couple of nuggets from my junk before I go.....

So here goes:

Intro (Love, reach out)

http://www.soundclick.com...55815&q=Lo
http://www.soundclick.com...55815&q=Hi
http://www.soundclick.com...ID=1655815

This was going to be the intro to my project but it didn't have enough Umph! for me so I was going to do something different anyways...

Ingenue

http://www.soundclick.com...55803&q=Hi
http://www.soundclick.com...ID=1655803

This was something I wrote for my friend Beth's project a couple of years ago and it's more of a foray into electronica--something I should've presented you more of!
Please excuse the sound quality but this version with my horrid scratch vocal, but its all I have right now--maybe one day I can find the pristine version with her vocal (much better!) smile

Extraordinary Lie

http://www.soundclick.com...55833&q=Hi
http://www.soundclick.com...ID=1655833

Vinablue inspired this a while ago when I first came here. Sorry for the bad scratch vocal...

In the clouds

http://www.soundclick.com...55594&q=Lo
http://www.soundclick.com...55594&q=Hi
http://www.soundclick.com...ID=1655594

This is for the NFO and everyone else here! Its another song off of my last CD....

Thank you all of your love, encouragement and support!
As always, I hope you all enjoy!

Until then,

peace

Man, don't play with my emotions like this. I know time is probably constricted right now, but don't say things like that. As bad as you are saying things like that only make baby Jesus cry. Take that much needed break but never say you're hanging it up.

BTW, These are all kick ass. You gotta upload another version of 'In the Clouds' that doesn't skip.

touched How the Hell did I inspire this?!?!?

Man, your voice is great. (What bad scratch vocal?) You have a great ability to create, interpret and play the ideas that you are blessed with. On all instruments, I might add... Taking a break is understandable, you just had a baby girl, right? You've gotten close to "making it", but that's not what it's all about. The love of music, and the way you touch people with what you create is what is important. Now you have a new creation, your daughter.
Don't ever hang it up, yo.

I know you are busy with the baby and all that, and you probably just don't have the time right now to make music, but it will come back after a while maybe 6 months or a year. You are far too talented to stop man, just take that break and start again later. You the man, Joshua!

Kevlar

I put my guitar down for a year a couple years back and never regretted it ( 1st time in 17 years!!). When it was time to be creating again my body screamed at me to do so. If you listen to yourself you will be fine. Forcing creativity does not work well.....

You're a talented man, I hope you make more sounds when you feel the time is right to do it.

Be well!
Turn that damn gitarr down!! http://www.soundclick.com/kevinschafer

Love this stuff but it's like so many others around here, you just can't contain your talent. Scratch vocals, lol.

Ask Otan about hanging it up for a while, he lasted 2 weeks. Raise that beautiful baby and come back when it strikes you. Come back sooner than that and at least listen, at 3 AM when you have to feed the baby.

peace

I've learned a thing or three about staying productive during the child reering years...

It's called SLEEP DEPRIVATION!
Let Mountain Dew be your new best friend.

No big deal. You can sleep when your old. If you don't keep productive on the "me" stuff, you'll get crabby. No one ever said you had to write a song a day or be all prolific ALL the time like you seem to be with all those songs on your site!

Awesome stuff my friend!

"Extraordinary Lie" is beautiful. Your music inspires me deeply. I don't say that everyday of the week. The music you write seems to be larger than life. It is "annointed". Don't let the tricks of the enemy keep you from the art you create. Stay ever so strong.

Jshua,

You've got some really nice material.

It just may end up that your recording cycle just gets shifted to Vampire Time.
I was lucky that both my kids were sleep through the night babies.
The recording equipment would go on around 2am, next thing I know it's 6am.
Take a shower, get dressed and sleep while driving to work. Simple.

Hang in there J.

Sleep deprivation is also my favorite tactic when it comes to making time to do the stuff I LOVE, besides the stuff that I HAVE to do. And yes, I'm a daddy too, so I know the works! cool

Styles...and don't feel guilty about hanging it up for awhile. Embrace the little ones...and your family, for they too are pieces of art; your greatest creation and inspiration. Time in2 that project itself is not only necessary, but a prerequisite to who U really will become. Rnjoy
