wave Hi Taureau, good to see you! hug

biggrin

I feel really two-bit up against the likes of tA's TEMPLE to SOUND, but hey I do what I can with the stuff I got! (i.e. record crap razz ) As far as the neighbours are concerned, I'm sure they think they're living right next to Electric Ladyland...we wish. Anyways it's great to see all these set ups...I've already blackmailed my girlfriend into allowing me to have an entire room dedicated to this stuff when we eventually...*gulp*...live togethtahsgha98800ix///....i think i just had a heart attack

LOL! I'll post a pic of my set-up and you'll feel a lil mo betta!

Yes it's an OK room, but remember 2 things.
1) It's not about the amount or the sophistication of your gear, it's about what you do with whatever you have.
2) This equipment is not mine. If I suddenly change jobs, this...

...could very quickly change to this.

BTW, The Audience, listened to your stuff for the first time. Great stuff, you are clearly very influenced by Miles' work in the 80's. This period gets dissed a lot by music critics, but I love it personally. Do you play every intrument yourself?

Thanks funkaholic1972.

You got that right. I love all the Miles periods.
And in the '80s, everything from We Want Miles to Amandala.
He had some fine guitarists on those records (Mike Stern, John Scofield, John McLaughlin)
I don't care what anybody thinks, this is some cool groovin' music.
His renegade spirit is something i've always been attracted to.
Couple that renegade attitude toward the music business (and jazz purists) with a genuine musical talent and something interesting was bound to happen. It's almost as if he's saying, i'm here now, i'm hip now, I will not relegate myself to playing and looking like something that belongs in a museum and you will pay attention. Beautiful.

To answer your question, by no means did I do this stuff alone.
Most of the story of those tunes is outlined here:
http://www.prince.org/msg/15/117467

The players are...
747:
Longineu Parsons - trumpet, flugelhorn
Lawrence Buckner - electric bass
Scott McQuade - organ
Me - guitars, guitar effects, sequencing

LDTV:
Longineu Parsons - trumpet, flugelhorn, recorder, percussion
Lawrence Buckner - electric bass
Me - guitars, synths, sequencing

The next set of experiments, that will hopefully be done live, are probably gonna push further back into the '70s period. Time will tell.

Thanks again for taking the time to listen. pray
