More Tribal Disorder After consultation and approval from the Groove Master General (psykosoul for those that don't know his title )
here's a rough mix of another one of the experiments from the Tribal Disorder sessions of a year or so ago. Last Dance of the Tribal Virgins (LDTV) is the name of this piece:LDTV I'm still appreciative and amazed at the amount of listens 747 (NFO: Project II) has received even though it's less than a demo. This TD experiment was to see if a certain musical concept would work. I brought some sequences to my partner which were to be nothing more than sketches for live musicians to record. Unfortunately, a couple of the musicians (most notably the drummer) couldn't make the session. So rather than waste the trip, we decided to play against the sequences and whatever happens, so be it. Why couldn't the drummer make it? It turns out, he got summoned to L.A. to take care of the final negotiations of his band being signed by Capitol Records. He's featured in this month's Modern Drummer: http://www.moderndrummer....=100010606 He's happy and we're really happy for him. Hope you enjoy the tune. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

Very nice Jam Mr. Audience You got the tribal voodoo happening, cool jungle sounds.Trumpet just too sweet. I felt a few Frank Zappa licks at the beginning of your solo. Hey, you guy's took it everywhere you could! I was getting a bit scared near the end when your Guitar was hanging in the dark like some primeval force. Was the volume a bit low on the mix, otherwise, thanks 4 this, some jazz 4 my Media collection I've got the feeling the more i play this, the more i'm gonna hear. Excellent work! ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... I drop in from time to time, ...

Love, love, LOVE your stuff man! Longineu must be one proud Papa! Growing up in a groove environment like that must have been pretty magical for both of them. Talking with Frank the other night, he said he met Longineu down here once. I think it was The Riviera Beach Jazz and Blues Festival that fetured Arturo Sandoval and Ed Calle. Frank was one of the opening bands. Small world after all. All Rights Reserved. |

It's always a pleasure hearing your stuff but I'm with Psycho, it's intimidating on a musical standpoint. I mean you've got Miles Davis on horns and flutes

Always dedicated, always practicing. He was fortunate to be able to hang with his Dad and get instructions from these legends. I'm not surprised that Frank (as fine a player as he is) and Longineu would have crossed paths at some point even though they're kind of at opposite ends of the state. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Longineu is a mutha alright. I'm the one that's intimidated when I get to play with him. (but taken from a positive perspective, it's a great motivation to play better) Just keep doing your thing Groove. Thanks for the listen talmuzic. For my benefit, what is it that gives it an "Acid" classification? What are some other artists that are in that genre? tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Hi Mr.Audience, slowly checking through your syuff, i.e. Longineu jnr. I was just watching an old clip of David Bowie on Letterman show. Idon't suppose Longineu jnr.(sorry forgot name, was long!)played with Bowie, it sure as heck looks like him on the Drum Kit.The song is "walking like a deadman", a few years ago now. ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... Hey Flux, Longineu Parsons Jr. (trumpet and my best friend) is actually Longineu Parsons III's (the drummer with Yellowcard) dad. To keep things from getting confusing, Longineu Parsons III (the drummer) just goes by LP. Dad gets to use the name Longineu. Are you less or more confused now? To answer your question, to my knowledge LP has never played with David Bowie. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Yep i get it now, thanks! What a amazing acheivement for a young guy! (LP)
I remember Michael Shrieve was 16 when he was the drummer for Santana at woodstock.Blows you away to think some one so young could weather the storms of such a quick accent to the pinnacle of their field of music. It said in the article about LP, that he was the drummer 4 Tribal Disorder, and that they were playing to an 'Audience' of 25,000 people at a gig in Sth. America. That's your Tribal disorder,(?) like you've played to a crowd that size! I wanna hear more History, is there anywhere you can point me to find more about your music, when and, how, and whatever.Intriguing stuff! ! ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... Aye but there's the rub. With the quick ascent comes the inevitable quicker descent. If you're not mentally and financially prepared for this, you've got troubles on your horizon. Hopefully, LP will keep his head on straight and the same size. The bands are one and the same. It was strange because we went on as the sun was setting and you could still see all those people. Once it got dark, from the stage you could only see about 20 to 30 yards into the crowd and it suddenly became more intimate. Here's a promo poster from that gig: For more info on LP, Longineu and Tribal Disorder go here: www.longineu.com Thanks for your interest Flux. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn.
