Boss Pedals For those who use Boss pedals whats your favourite distortion pedal.
Mine is the Boss metal, at first the name put me off as I thought it was only used for heavy metal or hard rock. But I found you can more on this pedal than the others it give the most extreme or you can tone it down. What are your thoughts, which Boss disctortion pedal do you use and why? Thanks!

I use Bosses, but my favorite distortion pedal is the DOD Super American Metal -- great ability to boost bass & treble for a clean chunk, as well as great mids for a grungy, dirty sound.
And, I prefer the cheap Ibanez TS model for overdrive. Though, the Boss equivalent is decent, too. Mystic blues or Warm Something-or-Other?

It wasn't bad, just too shrill and I didn't want to play with it. Currently I'm liking the Mega Distortion. You can get some good low end with it.

Turbo Distortion. It sounds nothing like the name implies but it's great for adding tube-like warmth and compression and some extra mids. I use it for almost-clean soloing.
