Linn Drum Machine Samples

This is a sample kit of assorted Linn Drum Machines

http://s2.yousendit.com/d...6A573E4F28

The "kuhh-kuhh, kuhh-kuhh" sound in 'Let's Go Crazy' is the sample labelled as 'sstk1' but in all Prince's music, it's obviously filtered so that it's got a lower tone and had echo added

This is a sample kit from the first ever Linn drum machine, the LM-1

Here's some samples from the LM-2 which was commonly known as "The Linndrum".

cool! I might just download some and use them....but the only thing is I don't want to sound like Prince, I want to sound like myself.

although, i do love the linn sound, so maybe i can tweak it to sound like my own.

Now that i have downloaded the Linnsamples. How would i go about creating a drum pattern? I have cubase and fruity loops. I have never really explored them though. Would these programs allow me to use and manipulate the sounds?

Fruity Loops will easily let you make drum loops from these samples. I can't really explain how - because I don't have it currently installed on my PC - but it's really, really easy. Maybe start another thread specifically about Fruity Loops?
