I'm trying to work out Love Bizarre on keys. If anyone can help with the chords I'd really appreciate it.

I can pick out the melody, though I'm not sure if it's in the key of Gb or Bbminor or Db minor. The melody basically stays on the "black keys: "if (Eb), "that's"(Gb) "what"(Ab) "we"( Bb) "are" (Ab) etc.

The chords I'm using I think are Gb, and DbMaj7 (which might be a Bbm9).... I"m just getting very confused.

I'm trying to do it the way Sheila and Prince do it live (e.g. Sheila House of blues Live), where after each sung phrase the horns do a little progression. The melody of it is Db, C, Bb, Ab, ....Db, C, Bb.

I'm using something like Bbm7, then a chord that goes Eb-Gb-C, Bbm7 again, ...I'm not really sure what I'm doing.

Both the recorded vesion and the live versions have a basic chord change that is repeated over and over after the vocals drop out. I think it's something like the Gb chord, flatting the 5th (C natrual) and going back.. but I'm not sure.

I know the song isn't that complicated but I need help! Thanks.

From memory and working from what you wrote, the song's either all Ebminor or a Ebminor-Ab vamp. I think the horn riff is a nelody arranged for different voices, not a chord progression. Good luck!

If anything maybe it's Ebminor to DbMaj7 (which is almost the same as Ebminor7 with a 6 thrown in a think). In other words just throwing in the C natural.

I think that also is the main progression of Erotic City.

To be honest, I think Erotic city is an Em vamp and A Love Bizarre an Ebm vamp.
