Attention Org Musicians:

Hi there. Many of you haven't heard from me in quite some time. My name is Jason Dodson, the orger formerly known as Flashpointe. Me and PaisleyPark4 (Izaiah) have created a new production team and musician's community called "The New Funk Revolution". We are inviting people to join, musicians and non-musicians alike. Share your ideas, music, and friendship freely. When us org members originally formed the New Funk Order here two years ago, we had no idea of the phenomenal support that we would receive, and the New Funk Revolution is another step towards preserving rights and promotion for artists, free music for listeners, and keeping music out of corporate control.

Our forum is now up at http://www.myphpbb.co.uk/Flashpointe/

Join the revolution!

Peace,
JD

Just kidding folks, but seriously.....

Please join the Revolution if you are an org musician. This is the beginning of all of our funk communities becoming a force of synergy to keep music funky and free.

Thanks for the humorous sensations as always, Chairman PP4. cool

Peace,
JD

Congratulations on your new site!

I only have one question ...

How does the New Funk Revolution differ from The New Funk Order ?

Sincerely interested ..

PB and Funkaholic:

Every desired goal in an organized movement needs synergy to accomplish it. The less organizations involved in bringing about the goal, the less likely it is to succeed in completing it. There has to be "bounce in- bounce out" organizations with similar energy that creates a collective energy to power the vehicle. The New Funk Revolution is another one of those organizations. The New Funk Order is similar in purpose, but no one single organization can be the head. Diversified unity to create universal freedom of the art.

Things we do, like collaborations in the New Funk Revolution, can be included in the New Funk Order projects, and so on. Things we do at the NFO and NFR can be included at Prince.org, etc, etc.

A centerless community of many.

Peace,
JD

In other words, "reproduction of the new breed leader, stand up, organize!" We can all be leaders of our own synergetic communities, and then participate in each other's communities to strengthen ideas.

It sounds to me like the NFR is just another community/ forum. The New Funk Order has grown into a beautiful website, with lots of amenities and of course the compilations that will come in the future. The NFR looks to me like Jason's Planet-musician.com. Cloud9 is having lots of success with his forum and we can all learn from what he's doing. I haven't made my way over there and posted yet. I think in a way it's good to have all these forums we can visit, because there is a crossover that happens when "your fans meet my fans"... but there is a slight downside: Too many forums too little time. I mean there are forums EVERYWHERE, I haven't even ventured into the soundclick forums, the myspace forums, and so many others that are useful for finding new music and sharing your own.

I tend to agree with Vina because I hardly get a chance to get to the nfo forum or Lewis's but it's not that I don't care, I just don't.

JD, I'm with you, I'm just stating my own personal ways and if you see me after I sign up, that's why.

With Vina's suggestion, I edited the New Funk Revolution forum today and created one general area where people from all other communities can post general ideas, etc. There are no separate discussion forums for different sites now.

Thanks, Vina, and thanks for the input everyone!

Thanks Chris for being with me as always!

Your friend,
Jason

Thanks for clarifying that guys!

At first I wasn't sure if you were offering something totally different - or whether this was just doubling up on something that already exists.

I understand what you're saying about there being no ' centre' or 'monopoly' ...

For me personally - it takes a while to post my songs on a variety of different sites - one more can't hurt - time permitting.

All the best and
Thanks!
