15 years ago I was obsessed. Wembley Arena on the Monday, Birmingham NEC on the Wednesday, Wembley again on the Friday. Paris Zenith the following weekend. Both Lovesexy videos watched everyday 4 months. I also happened 2 be an extremely enthusiastic pianist and guitarist. Every Prince Music Tabliture/chord book available I bought and learnt cover 2 cover. I even used 2 lean backwards off the piano stool during Stange Relationship when I played the piano interlude from the Dortmund Lovesexy Vid. I could never find the tab 2 HCYDCMA, but tought myself 2 play the tune by ear b4 Alicia was out of primary school. U get the picture.

I've played in numerous bands over the years, from Motorhead influenced headbanging 2 Orbital style sequenced knob twiddling. Trouble is, none of it gave me the satisfaction of say, playing the opening chords 2 Purple Rain and watching people's faces and listening 2 them say, "God. What other Prince tunes do you play?".

Then it Dawned on me 17 Days ago - Why have I never bothered to get a Prince covers band together? Purple Reign, Glam Slam etc. They're all excellent.

a lead male vocalist (Mike Skinner from The Streets - Only Joking..)

This is obviously the first place I'll place an ad - But spread the word.
I guess the Musicology phenomenon has triggered my passion again.
