Hello my friends! Howdie, what's up and how are you doing? After months of lurking I intend to participate a bit more here at the Artist Community...
I'll give U all a quick update: after all the shit I went through with my ex my life is good again, I'm enjoying my "single" status and I have been very busy on the music front the last few weeks. This month the first "Bumper" release will come out (thank you, Marc!) and we already have recorded 4 new tracks, which I will upload at Soundclick any time soon. We are also working on a remix of one of Marc Deon's own house tracks, which will be finished in one or two more sessions. I also have recorded a lot of stuff on my own lately. I've almost finished a tribal house track which sounds very promising (well, at least to me and some of my friends...). And I intend to do a project (maybe on my own, maybe with another friend) to make some more commercial stuff, because I finally want to make some money with my music, LOL! The idea is to make electronic pop with vocals, commercial top 40 music but with a leftfield twist that would make it interesting for non-Top 40 people too. I hope to present you some material soon. I just found out that 2funkE is not on NFO2 but will be on the bootyshakin' NFO3 project with our old track "My Groove". Thank you guys, for still supporting this track, eventhough I haven't been around for months! Anyway, it's good to be back, I have to do a lot of listening now to see what you all have been up to, and I hope I will have some fun with you again! RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

I'm glad to hear that you're happy and doing well.
I checked out the Bumper stuff - it's strong as always. Good luck with the music man - you've definitely got the talent for it! The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

Hey Hey...all my favorite peeps still shakin' their thang I see.
I've been lost in translation so to speak, doing the commercial thang for bread and butter, but my main entree over the last 3 months has been trying to put an new dress on an old whore. I moved away from the big city (a bit of a shock in itself), left all my friends and moved 100 miles North into a small town. Not much culture up here 'cept maybe agriculture, but it does have a large art community. Bought a mid 1800's Victorian queen and well, she's putting up a good fight...and I've found my self in a corner a few times either cryin' or cursin' at her - but as I'm not one to give up, forward I march. The missin is an Art Gallery (private not public). Still months away, but I'm reaching for the dream. Been difficult finding trades peeps to work; kids just aren't going into electrical, plumbing, plaster etc. these days and I foresee the days ahead for this type of work as tight and expensive...but at the same time, anone inclined tht way is gonna make a killing. Currently, my plasterer has run off (bin about 6 weeks) and left me with skeletal walls. I've tried to find another, but what's around is swamped with work. I keep looking at the wall compound and thinking gawtdayum girl...open it up, give it a shot, maybe it's not as difficult as it seems... but those 12 foot ceilings and endless rooms look pretty dayum ominous. Lots of musicians up here too (guess there's not much else for them to do) and have planned a jam with some locals next week here at the house. They are all beggin to hear the acoustics in this place. Anyway, it's a different world out here...but I like it. So glad y'all still have your eye on the prize. That in itself is commendable. I've missed y'all and attempted to find a few new goodies for my ears - but it appears to be scattered all over the place, so if U feel like throwing up a link, I love to listen. Funk, so glad things worked out 4 U . Love the new Bumper tracks. O - loved looking at the ultrasound pics, that's ART in itself. I found myself completely absorbed in the abstract of it. U must have some new tunes? V - sounds like you had a blast at camp. Nice pics. E - well...you're like a train and can't be stopped . Slave - waivin' . Sup wit U? NFO - cheers to yet another project. I'm sorry if I ever doubted your mission and dedication. And to the rest of y'all...I know you're out there...U can never leave this place, I think I'm pure testament to that. So I need some cheer up tunes while waiting for the plasterer. HIT ME! [This message was edited Mon Aug 16 13:57:10 2004 by Red]
