The TOP THREE thread - everyone reply!

I just thought that this thread would be fun. We'll start off with me - go to my Soundclick page and rate your three favorite songs. I'll rate my own, also. If you want to throw yourself into the mix, too, then go ahead. We'll all rate each other. Cool? Start with mine first, though, suckas! (it WAS my idea...hehehe)

Ok, here's my own choices (in no particular order):

I Know
The Best Tonight
Where's my Pants Pt. 2

Thanks everyone for your responses so far. I may actually be re-recording some of these very soon so we can have a CD to sell at shows so I just kinda want to know what people would dig on there.

Go for it man. Everytime I go back and re-record a song I discover things about the song. Re-recording a song is so under rated. A lot of us home-studio types will knock out a song and be so amazed at the inspiration and magic captured in that first session that we're (I'm) afraid to try to recapture some of it a second time. Happens to me a lot - things in the song that's accidental - either in vocal parts, or instrumentation, where the bass accidentally muted and the guitar hit a high note at the same time, and shazam! sounds like I meant to do that!) that kind of stuff is what I'm talking about. I'm always afraid to go back and try to re-do the song.

A lot of the time it ends up stale the second, and third, and fourth times, but it DOES force you to get in and really fine-tune the song.

I'll get in and give you my list later today. As usual, I'm bopping in here, and then running back out before I'm busted by the man.

Speaking of, "School of Rock" is great. Loved it.

I also loved it and, as far as re-recording, I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm having trouble getting my bandmates to play a new funk song I wrote correctly. All of a sudden now I care what the hell they're playing? Hahaha.

Yeh, good idea for a thread Artist08! Done heaps of reviewing a while back, so.. just saw "school of Rock", was great! guitar I wish it could've gone longer, but : "the Man" ; did BLACK give those kid's an education or what wink
As far as re-recording i wish i had a tape running all the time. There's so many occassions when Magic occurs , an accidental fluke which; "ah shit, did we get that? Why wasn't the tape running?" When your jamming there's that 1% that you wish you had down. wink
Here it comes...If anyone has a 4 track tape recorder they don't want , throw it towards Australia confused , i wanna get more recording done , i'm finding it awesomely difficult neutral , having to wait till " The Man ", gets it together to plug me in and i've got so much music in my head i wanna upload! I'll pay the postage.I'm kinda joking, but not really cool (Impoverished,Frustrated Musician) confused peace

Yeah, the demo is actually just the demo for my band. I'm singing on most of the tracks, but we just kinda put together snippets of stuff that we recorded from our second live show. It was actually recorded straight from the board onto a cassette so I'm sure that it sounds much better out front and live! Thanks, man!
