I need help from one of you guys! I do not have a membership to the club, but I need someone to post a thread on the club's message board about the concert in Chicago on Tuesday, June 29th.
I am dying to hear both "Adore" and "The Beautiful Ones" since he did not play either of them at the first show in Champaign back in April. They are my two all-time favorite Prince songs so I beggin Prince on all the boards I know of to play them. If one of you nice people who could afford a membership to the official club would post a thread for me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Peace and Blessings It's 1984 All Over Again!

That's already been done. Many folks who feel the same way you do have made such threads.
Unfortunately, it seems that he plays them on occassion, not as a carved-in-stone part of the setlist. I'm firmly planted in denial

I asked Prince about changing the setlist at the Cleveland show in 02, during the rehersal, and he gave me a dirty look LOL. It was a stupid question that popped into my head cuz I couldnt think of anything to say.

That's a fantastic story, Tom. I can see it now.
My only "complaint" about the current tour is the rigidity of the setlist...and the omission of Insatiable, Adore, The Beautiful Ones and most shows. Where's Mountains? That song would play SO well in the arena setting with the current incarnation of the NPG...with Candy singing along? I dunno. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

I hope he addresses this by doing a part 2 of this tour (after going abroad) w/ a mostly new setlist - he has WAY too many great songs to satisfy all of us in one show. And I agree, hearing "Mountains" would be AMAZING!
