Is it possible to convert singles with this technology to mp3's or are these tracks stuck in this wretched WMA format?

If this has been answered before sorry, the search option was temporarily out at time of post.

I just used Cool Edit Pro to re-record it as am mp3. It doesnt convert it but I play it off the wma file and record it at the same time. You can do the same thing by running a jumper wire from your speaker output to your mic input.

FYI.....Nero will not allow you to reformat WMA files. (I thought that WMA's couldn't be re-formatted...) What I have done in those cases, is to use the recorder program that came with my sound card and set it to record "what I hear". That way, I can record any sound I hear (as a WAV file, then convert it to MP3, any bit rate I want).

I've used this to rip the audio off the videos in years 1-2. Thankfully, they do it themselves for us now.
