Macintosh users and the Musicology room

Recently, I had purchased the "reflection" video and the "Live tour video and audio" files at the Musicology room. When I went to play the "reflection" file, the DRM license window came up, but the file didn't play. I tried again and the same thing happened over and over. I even tried downloading it again and the problem continued. What's strange is that the "Live tour video and audio single" worked just fine. SO, to test things out, I tried my other songs which I had downloaded and had worked fine before and the same thing kept happening. This really confused me since I had already recieved the DRM license for these songs! I've contacted NPGMC and they've tried to help, but because they say that MAC OSX really isn't recommended or supported, that they really can be now help to me. The only thing that had changed was that I had recently upgraded my OSX to 10.3.4.... They felt that was the problem, but I'm not sure why. Anyways, what i'm asking is has anyone had this problem too and if so, did you find a solution?

Sorry to hear about your trouble. I've upgraded to 10.3.4 since downloading audio and video files and haven't had any problems at all. You might try logging in to your NPGMC account and re-downloading the files you've purchased, launch the files to get the DRM license and start fresh. Just a thought. And make sure that Internet Explorer is still set up as your primary browser when you're downloading and playing files for the first time. If Safari is set as your primary browser, you'll have trouble acquiring the license.

You can also try this:

Go to:

Your main hard drive/Library/Preferences/DRM

Make a backup of that folder. Then delete it. Then re-acquire licenses for your tracks by downloading them again from the club. That should re-set your DRM licenses.

What I don't understand is why the tech people at NPGMC (you know, the people who get your money) couldn't suggest that. What kind of imbeciles do they have working there, and why?

A-freakin' men. How about just set up a Macintosh users forum at the club so they don't even have to worry about it? Questions could be posted there and help could be offered from other club members, with the stipulation that the club makes no guarantees or warranties regarding the help offered in that forum? At least that way, there would be a resource for members using OS X.
