ya know, i've only watched/listened to this thing once since i got it. it's good, i enjoyed it, it was fine, but...i dunno...it's like downloading the middle 20 minutes of a movie or something...it might be a great movie, but it just feels out of place without the context of the whole thing surrounding it. i can't really put my finger on it any better than that, but the clip, good as the music is, just didn't grab me. and i hated it that the clip ends on an irresolute note (i'm sure you musicians out there have a better term than that), instead of a definite ending note or at LEAST a decent fade-out.
i don't think i threw my money away...i'm sure one day when i'm bored i'll dig it out and have a field day listening to it over and over - i get that way with my neglected prince stuff - but i'm just not terribly excited about the clip in the here and now. | |
