AUGH! npgmc Ticket problem.

My sister is a member of the NPGMC, and I'm not. Don't shoot me. I was a member, I let it lapse.

She bought me two tickets to the Atlanta show, (tomorrow night) for my birthday.

She lives in DC. I live in Atlanta. There's no way she'll be here for Will Call. I've got the printout receipt showing that the tickets were purchased with my credit card, my name, address, etc, but Will Call is being arranged by NPGMC member. (I used my credit card, she paid me back, before you think the obvious).

So what can I do? Smartass responses are laughed at, but really not appreciated today.

YOu cant do a damn thing but try to get in. It is set up so you join the club to get tickets AND actually recieved them at will call. If you had gotten a membership and let your sister pay you back after you bought them yourself, there would bve no problem and the result is the same. In retrospect, isnt the measley $25 worth it? Everyone saw the story about the member who had to buy cheap seats to get in because of a ticket mishap. Ugly.

oh. I suppose, when you say "everyone", you mean, you, and everyone, except ME? Shit.

I got several plans in the works for this crappy situation. No, I didn't bother to read ANYthing about the details. I was all jazzed that I was getting tickets! Silly me.

The ticket mishap that he is talking about has nothing to do with your problem. That was when the NPGMC gave away his tickets so he showed up and wasn't on the list and even though he had paid and been confirmed he was forced to buy cheap seats.

I would have your sister write an email or start a thread or whatever at the NPGMC explaining your problem and see if they can help you out.

I don't know if this would help, but I am selling my two Prince tickets. Although, not for face value because I can't go to the darn thing.

So, if you really want two tickets to the concert then hit me up.

Sorry, just a solution to your problem since the concert is "Sold Out".

PS I've been posting that I have tickets and no one worth it is answering. Only smart asses.

I used my NPGMC membership to get my friend tickets to opening night at LA. The NPG site let me use his credit card information, address & everything, but he hit a snag when he went to the show. They wouldn't let him in because the membership was under my name.

Even though I gave him my screen name, password, they wouldn't budge. The only way they would let him in, is I faxed a copy of my drivers license and a written note that gave him permission to pick up my tickets.

Needless to say, I was sitting comfortably in a movie theater waiting for the show to start, so he was out of luck. But with some creative begging and pleading, they finally let him in and he missed a few minutes of the show, but ultimately he was just happy he got in.

The other sad note, was he had 11th row. I'll be pissed when I walk up to will call here in Denver and they hand me something other than front row. I will have a conniption with a capital 'K.'

So, you're saying, the only way they would have let him in is is you faxed your license and a note? Excellent. I can get that. But you said, he was out of luck? You mean, they WOULD have let him in with that information? If so, then I'm set.

Thanks for your help. I greatly appreciate it. And hey, 11th Row will be much better than Tier 7, row QQ, seat 143. Row 11 will work just damn fine.

Thanks for the offer - i appreciate it, but, if I can't use the tickets I already paid for, I'm much more inclined to go to a bar, rather than buy another set of tickets.

I talked to the arena people and they gave me the 411.

I just need a copy/fax of her ID and a note granting me permission to pick up her tickets. So, thanks VERY MUCH for your input, my day is gonna be ALLLL RIGHT.

I hope the people at the Will Call know about the policy and give you the tickets with no problem. It should be a GREAT night.
