On then Tom Joyner Show Monday morning, Prince said that in addition ot BET and MTV, VH1 will also pick up the simulcast of the release party.

I remember attending a O{+> Album release party back on November 19?, 1992 at this club. They had an entire room decorated with O{+> related merchandise. MAyte and the NPG from 1992 were present. Videos and music were played. Overall a pretty cool night!!

We just came back from the release party part 1... the part that was taped for TV... we got in at 4 and were sitting in a holding room til about 7 pm when they started letting folks in... some sat on stage, others on chairs on the floor and the rest of us on the balcony...

Prince came on... full band (Maceo was with the horn section)... they performed

"Musicology"
"Dear Mr. Man" (!!!!)

break for acoustic set
"Cream"
"I could Never Take the Place of Your Man"
"Sometimes It Snows in April"
"Proud Mary"
"Sweet Thing"

then the band came back and did

"Life of the Party"
"Soul Man"
"Kiss"

'Sweet thing' was the sweetest thing that night & all the Music was beautiful (As Always!!!) I was suprised that I actually got to see Prince perform for the first time live, (without expecting to), and just a couple of feet away!!! Prince had me laughing a lot with the jokes, loved how he connected with us in that way, as I've read so much about. This show was mesmerizing & will always be my night to remember...Thanks Prince for a wonderful show!!!

It was a great, great, great show. He is ultra-talented on the *acoustic* guitar, and has such great stage presence. He will always be Da Man!

Even the time in the "holding area" for NPG members who were waiting for things to happen was so much fun. The best part of the NPG is that everyone knows the songs. An impromptu tamberine-fest broke out when we were waiting as a subgroup of folks just started singin' songs from the Prince catalog. ( you GO Jackie!)

damn, i didnt go...

you know, maybe i'm getting too old, but this mid week party thang...i can't do it no mo. i work in manhattan, but live in Connecticut, so i have to be careful how i spend my time in the city...he nearly killed me a few weeks back at Club Black..10 years ago, i woulda said #$*&^$ it...and dealt with the lack of sleep. but now, sleep is my best friend.

of course, i had girlfriends offering up their pads to stay, but only if they could go too...

So when's this going to be broadcast on mtv, bet, or vh1?
