Slaughterhouse and Choc Invas actual albums? Or just a title he put on there at the last second? Do any of you guys actually think that these 2 downloads were for an actual album at some point? If so I hope it is an indication of what the future holds. Wouldnt it be nice to check the site sometime soon to find Crystall Ball 2, or Roadhouse Garden, or many of the other albums that have been spoken about but never released over the years. People WILL pay for this stuff, so I hope he doesnt hold out. SOOOO much he could drop our way.
On another note, we are paying for these songs, one thing I would love to know before I listen to anything I download is what year it is from, and what album, if any it was intended for. Am I alone here in this? I think we should all email NPGMC and let them know this, surely it wouldnt be too hard for Prince to say "yeah its from 1995 and meant for....." Later all. I haven't heard these 'albums' yet, but have the older 2001 downloads.
Do they work as albums? Does the sequencing sound good, or do they just sound like a bunch of songs grouped together? I'm looking forward to burning these and playing them as albums, rather than just having a disorganised bunch of MP3s. Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

For starters, the sound quality is amazing, infinitely better than the original downloads. Secondly, The Chocolate Invasion works well as an album - a few of the songs segue into each other and the tracks flow nicely. And as for 'The Dance', well that's one of the best songs I've heard from P in a while. The Slaughterhouse doesn't work quite as well (IMO), but is still pretty darn good and a must-have if you're a fan. Take the artwork from here for the two CDs http://www.npg.at/NPGMC2004.html and you have two instant albums.

I have TCI, and while it's an improvement over the year 1 downloads, and The Dance is worth having, the song order doesn't flow. It just feels odd to open with When Eye lay my hands on U & then have Vavoom & High later in the middle. If I want your opinion, I'll beat it outta ya!

I just finally got the time to download The Chocolate Invasion over the weekend. I am so diggin the flow of these songs. I had some of these songs already, but on an "album" I am re-discovering a lot of these tunes I kinda ignored back when I downloaded them. I forgot how good Supercute, U Make My Sunshine, and When I Lay My Hands...are. I am actually liking High...well, tolerating is more like it. The songs I hadn't heard before are kickin'. Judas Smiles is one of his best tunes period. The Dance is awesome! Vavoom! Don't ask me how I missed this one the 1st time around.
Next weekend I am planning on checking out The Slaughterhouse...hopefully I'll be as pleasantly suprised. 1st, Musicology, now Choc Inv...I am one happy guy at the moment...the only thing that will make me happier? I am gonna see if my girlfriend is up for some fun tonigh .

WAAWAAAWAAWAAAAA!!!!! (that's my guitar wailing sound, natch) Heard that all the way out here! was wondering what that was. I have now gotten all 3 new "albums" TCI, Slaughterhouse and Musicology. WOWOWOW! All of it. It was a lot to take in...I think an album a week or every other. Oh and Magnificent, which is simply that and Controversy live (best 77 cents I ever spent). Regarding TCI and SH - I know that this is all previously released material (for TCI and SH) and is pretty much slapped sorta together with a feeling for each album...but for someone who hears this fresh off, this is some wicked stuff that was put out...with some exceptions of course. I am really impressed. All at once I got: Musicology Illusion, Coma, Pimp & CIrcumstance A million Days Reflection WHen I lay my hands on U Judas Smile Supercute High Dance Sex me Sex me Not In Silicon SM Groove Y would I do that Hypno Paradise Peace 2015 Radical Man Daisy Chain Magnificent That's quite a bit of really good material. I could not imagine not having any of these songs now. Granted it's over a few years, but this is some really good stuff. Something for everyone. Good thing it wasn't released as a triple disk. Bad thing you can't actually own these...you have to make your own. Just like the good ole days I turned my friend (he turned me on a while back...fell out of love...and sort of likes the output now...kinda jaded) on to all 3. He liked Musicology, Loved TCI, And can't get over the Slaughterhouse. We both agree that Musicology was the correct choice of the 3 to release to the public. I say it's a damn shame he won't play some of this (including musicology) during the current tour. Or sell these 2 others at the concert or something. Three questions to put out there though... What do you think about the order and track selection for TCI and SH? Where does Magnificent belong within the 3 releases? If you had to come up with an under 55 min comp of the music from these 3, would there have been a better selection? (I happen to think the selection and arrangements work...but then again I have only these to reference) Christian Zombie Vampires

Why do you need a date when each song was recorded? No one else cares.

WAAWAAAWAAWAAAAA!!!!! (that's my guitar wailing sound, natch) Heh....I dig it, but I got tired of that a couple weeks ago. Of course, I played the hell out of all those songs the first time, so I'm sure that's part of the reason.

I have heard a lot of people request that there were info for the songs posted at the Musicology store.....make yourselves known Leadline, that is FAR from true that nobody cares. Yes, many songs off of Graffiti Bridge (for example) were from much earlier, but the thing is we KNEW that when the album was released. I remember reading all of those details in Q magazine back in the day. It's sheer laziness that makes the club not care about giving fans a fucking picture to print out for a cover or ANY kind of credits.... How does it work with musicians playing on these tracks? How do they get paid if they aren't credited for any of their work? I always wonder about that. It would greatly increase my love of each and every song on those 2 albums if we knew SOMEthing, ANYthing about them. It pissed me off in Year 1 when they would just throw the downloads up there and not give any information whatsoever. Of course, that was the LEAST of the bullshit the NPGMC fed us suckers in year one...anybody remember Horny Pony? No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
