Please Help - I can't get my downloads to play!

Its probably me but i cannot listen to my downloads. Would anybody be so kind as to try to help me.

I am a non-member and have paid to download Slaughterhouse. I have downloaded the first 3 tracks via Net Transport (they took ages on my 5 year old 64k connection).

When i try to play them WinAmp automatically starts and the name of the track registers as it scrolls along the top of WinAmp. But there is no sound.

I have read that i need to download Windows Media Player. I have done that. The problem is that the files appear as WinAmp files. How do i convert/make them play in Media Player.

Also occaisionally i get a pop-up box from NPGMC asking to confirm my email address and non-member password. When i do this i get confirmation about the licence and then asked to click the cancel button below. No bloody cancel button appears!

Please could somebody tell me what i am doing wrong!

Thank you in anticapation

Right click the files
Select "Open with" and then select Windows Media Player

Select also "Always use this program to open these files"

There you have it biggrin

You are going to have to set WMP as a default player.
1.Click on Tools on WMP
2.Click Options
3.Click File Types

Thanks people! I got 2 out of the three working!

Pandurito - When I right-click the file I do not get the "open with" option. I guess this is why i dont see your second tip either. Thanks for the tip anyhow.

Seanski - I can select all the options this way and get the downloads to work. Thanks. Problem is, the boxes dont stay checked, so I have to repeat the process otherwise WinAmp appears the next time.

Sinaplenty - Thanks for these although I cannot access the NPG one as i aint a member!

Thank you all once again.
