Magnificent

New song to download at the NPGMC for $.99.

Kill this thread if the topic's been posted already. I didn't see that it had.

You have to go to the download store...the bubble that looks like a soundboard on the first page at the NPGMC.

Was anything taken down and replaced by Magnificent? Just wondering how long some of this stuff will be staying on the site...

Thanks for posting this -- I would have missed it otherwise. I just downloaded it and gave a listen -- sounds good! 4 min 40 sec. Enjoy.

It is there - I downloaded it this morning.

It is in the FIRST page of downloads, NOT the second page containing Controversy and Bataclan. It looks like they crammed in one more "slider" bar . . .

It says "New" right on it. You can't miss it.

Oh PLEASE NPGMC, keep releasing stuff with a steady stream!!

This song is quite interesting...and what's more, it cost $1 and sounds damn good, really. I still don't like DRM but it's so easily gotten around that it doesn't really matter. All my files are mp3s as well as protected WMA files now, big whoop.

What's crazy is that the old-ass CD player in my car, which is literally from like...1992? Like it was new when the Symbol album came out...anyway, it sometimes doesn't play certain CDs (including, interestingly enough, both copies of the Symbol album I own!) and about a year ago it completely quit playing burned CDRs, which TOTALLY sucks and obviously totally limits the Prince music I listen to when I drive.

And listening to hot Prince music when I drive....well what more is there to life, really? Some sunshine and a companion and you got it all.

Ooooh, that's a COOL song actually. What a great way for him to just release stuff that we can pay for if we want to...he makes money, we're not getting ripped off, we're thrilled to get the music...it's a win win win win situation!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

Really dig the song.... and it's the right way not to include it on Musicology. Doesn't fit there.

I think that's right the way outtakes should be handled: release them straight away with a download. Well, at least some comment on it would be a nice add-on. Later, those outtakes could be bundled and released on CD for a limited time. Maybe with slight reworking if P feels the need to do so... wink
