For $25, it's worth joining.
Especially if Prince is going to be touring in your area. Your $25 entitles you to buy tickets for the front few rows at concerts. Also, the Musicology Store opens in just over a week and members get discounted downloads (although apart from the Musicology album, we're not sure what's going to be available to download). Also, you get to hear old Prince music (sometimes obscure b-sides and mixes) in the Reflection room. And there's a chat room and forum, but you may or may not see those as a bonus after you've visited them - it depends on the individual. If you've got a reasonably good computer and your internet connection's pretty speedy, then I say join. After all $25 ain't a great deal of money.

That they don't offer a preview or a free trial should tell you enough. You are not my "friend" because you threaten my security.

You know what? For all the concert tix I've gotten via the club, the amount of money I have saved in Ticketmaster charges has more than paid for the twenty five bucks I paid to be an NPGMC member. Even if the site continues to be threadbare and infuriating, it's the smartest thing I could have done if I wanted a good deal on Prince concert tickets.
Just sayin'... | |

That is unless the presale tickets sell out in 10 minutes in your area. What is the point of being a member if you aren't even guaranteed pre-sale tickets within the first 15 minutes of them being for sale?

??? 1. They went down on the price cause they wanted to. Probably figured more people would be willing to join and they could make more $$$. Additionally, the current business model for distributing the music is "pay as you go" with members paying less than non-members. Previously, the music was included as part of your membership. 2. Your membership last as long as the NPGMC exists. the inevitable edit.. [This message was edited Tue Apr 6 9:33:35 2004 by Universaluv]
