ACCESS NPGMC.COM NOW - MUSICOLOGY STORE OPEN!!!

Okay here's the deal:

You can download the entire Musicology album, TRC, N.E.W.S., C-Note, as well as "Slaughterhouse" and "The Chocalate Invasion" (both have 10 NPGMC Year 1 tracks) for $9.99 / $ 7.77 (members) each.

However, it does not seem to be possible to download one track each.

There are, however, two or three live tracks to download for $0.99 ($0.77 members) each - something from the Paris aftershow 2002, "Controversy" from Hawaii earlier this year, etc. Nothing mindblowing.

You can also listen to sample of one track off each album. For those of you waiting to hear more off Musicology - I'm afraid it's the title track...

Also it doesn't seem possible to order the albums on CD.

Something from the Paris aftershow, huh? All I can find is Controversy live from Hawaii.

I'm not disappointed, because I didn't think there would be anything I haven't already paid for at least once, but wouldn't this have been a SWELL time to put up some ENTIRE concerts from the back catalog?

Is anyone else surprised that they're forcing you to buy the entire album? Confusing...so how do members get the discount? Any why advertise the prices as being "per song" if you will only sell them per album? Am I missing something here?

Try the second 'mixboard' (or whatever you want to call it), the one in the middle. You'll find it there. It's "NPG In This Funky House/All The Critics Love U In Paris".

Totally agree... too bad he didn't do it.

Members click on "Member Checkout" and get the album for $7.77. Still don't get why they're not offering single songs like they promised.

Funny, even in the NYTimes article from today, it says they'll offer individual songs. Of course the moderators also said there would be a Mac alternative, so it's not like the club as adverse to lying through their teeth. wink

How fucking stingy to release a "single" from Bataclan with a medley of 2 of the least interesting tracks played that night!

Thanks for the response XpertLover...I should get back to bed. Nothing for me to see there. wink

I mean, for example....

$9.99 for NEWS is a WHOLE lot different than $.99 per track for NEWS, ya know?

Oh my GOD, y'all...listen to the free snippet from "NPG In This Funky House" (from the Bataclan show) and get ready to fucking PUKE.

In the motherfuckin' house or nuthin', beeyatch! wink

It just ruins the whole flow of the chant....it's not funky anymore. Sounds like a white dad from suburbia.

COMON

Big deal huh?

Heard Musicology on Radio 2 at the weekend. COuld just tell it was Prince dripping through ma speakers. I'm gonna wait for the CD. HAven't heard any of the other tracks and looking forward to enjoying it as all new. So I'm not downloading. Nor am I downloading the other stuff. Ma bootleggers gave me access many moons ago, so Prince missed my cash.

Ah still love him for his muzak though.
